Alone yet wanted

Lily had never felt so alone on Christmas day. As a freshman in college, she had been forced to stay on campus after her flight was canceled due to the snowstorm. She had been feeling down until she was invited to a party by some other students who were also stranded.

The party was wild, with everyone playing crazy games and laughing non-stop. Lily had never felt so carefree and happy. As the night went on, a group of friends suggested they play spin the bottle. Lily hesitated at first, but when one of the girls peer pressured her, she caved in almost immediately. She was the first one up, and she didn’t want to look dumb.

She spun the bottle, and it landed on a guy named Jon. She hardly recognized him in his fancy gray suit, but she knew he was in the same political science program as her. She didn’t know much about him, and she realized she didn’t really care. He was a cute guy with an unbelievably gorgeous set of eyes. He seemed a little drunk, but he seemed just as interested in her. They both laughed and nervously looked at each other as they leaned in for a kiss. However, as their lips touched, something strange happened.

Lily suddenly felt disoriented, like she was being pulled in a million different directions at once. The next thing she knew, she was standing across the room, staring at herself in Jon's body. She couldn't believe what had just happened. She was trapped inside someone else's body.

Lily tried to speak, but her voice sounded strange and foreign. That’s when she realized that she was extremely drunk. She looked down at Jon’s suit and realized that she was falling over. Panic set in as she realized that something magical must have happened. “She actually went through with it,” she heard her voice say. “You guys are going through her purse, right? Get her credentials.”

“What are you going to do? You literally have all the time in the world.”

“Well, this sexy thing’s going to be mine forever,” her body said. “I’m going to go have a little bit of fun. Can’t have my first night be with you losers.”

Lily wouldn’t discover it until much later after waking up from her hangover, but everything had been preplanned. Jon and the other girls were part of some sort of cult. They wanted to get their hands on some money to help fuel their endless parties, and since Lily had access to a stupid amount of wealth, she was the perfect target. Of course, the cult had no plans on placing Lily back in her old body, and nobody would ever believe her that she was Jon Orsini, a political science major who was flunking every class and who had a juvenile criminal record. Life was going to get lonelier.
